গঁড় এটি স্তন্যপায়ী জন্তু; সকলো গঁড়েই লুপ্তপ্ৰায় প্ৰাণী৷[1] ইয়াক একচৰ, একশৃংগ, খড়্গী আদি নামেৰেও জনা যায়। পৃথিৱীত বৰ্তমান ৩০০০ মানহে গঁড় আছে আৰু ইয়াৰে প্ৰায় ২০০০ অসমত অৱস্থিত কাজিৰঙা ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় উদ্যান, পবিতৰা অভয়াৰণ্য আৰু মানাহ ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় উদ্যানত পোৱা যায়।[2]
