Wikipedia/Facebook

It has been seen that Assamese wikipedia contributors are having discussions regarding any issues more in the wikipedia facebook group than in the actual website. So can we think of a technique to transfer those comments to this forum automatically ? and perhaps vice versa also ? ‍‍Gitartha.bordoloi 12:35, 19 অক্টোবৰ 2011 (UTC)

Indeed we can. We can write a program using any programming language strong in web API to access the facebook page, and then copy the comments there and then access a suitable wiki page and write there.

However, it will tend to mix up facebook talk and wikipedia discussions. We must remember that that facebook group is informal, and personally feel that we should keep in that way.

Further, let's not do such important work by programs. A program is a "robot" and right at this moment we can't write programs that can replace human editors.
