কন্ব ত্ৰেতাযুগৰ এজন প্ৰাচীন হিন্দু ঋষি[1] আছিল। তেওঁ ঋগবেদৰ কিছুমান গীত লিখিছিল বুলি কোৱা হৈছে।[2][3] তেওঁ অংগিৰসসকলৰ অন্যতম আছিল।[4] তেওঁক ঘোৰাৰ পুত্ৰ বুলি কোৱা হৈছে যদিও এই বংশ “প্ৰগথা কন্ব’’ৰ, পৰৱৰ্তী যি বহুতো কন্ৱ আছিল।[5][6] কিন্তু পুৰাণ সাহিত্যত তেওঁৰ বাবে আন বেলেগ বেলেগ বংশ আছে, এটা অপ্ৰতিৰথৰ পুত্ৰ আৰু ৰজা মতিনাৰৰ নাতি হিচাপে আৰু আনটো অপ্ৰতিৰথৰ (অতিৰথ) ভাতৃ তনছুৰ নৱম প্ৰজন্মৰ বংশধৰ অজমিধৰ পুত্ৰ বা মাটিনাৰৰ সমসাময়িক অজমিধৰ পুত্ৰ।[6][7] এই শেষৰটোৱেই আধুনিক সহমত যেন লাগে।[6][8] তেওঁক কেতিয়াবা সপ্তৰ্ষিৰ তালিকাতো অন্তৰ্ভুক্ত কৰা হয়।[1] কন্বৰ এজন পুত্ৰ মেধাতিথি আছিল।[7][8] কন্বক শকুন্তলাৰ দত্তক পিতৃ বুলিও মহাভাৰতত উল্লেখ আছে।
