১৯৯০ চনৰ ১৩ নৱেম্বৰত দিল্লীৰ এটা বঙালী পৰিয়ালত দত্তৰ জন্ম হয়।[4][5][6] দত্তৰ পিতৃ ভাৰতীয় নৌসেনাৰ অৱসৰপ্ৰাপ্ত ৰিয়াৰ এডমিৰেল।.[7] তেওঁ শৈশৱৰ বেছিভাগ সময় বিশাখাপট্টনম আৰু মুম্বাইত কটাইছে। মুম্বাইৰ ছেইণ্ট জেভিয়াৰ কলেজৰ পৰা তেওঁ অৰ্থনীতিত স্নাতক ডিগ্ৰী লাভ কৰিছে।[8]

দত্তই ২০১২ চনৰ ফেমিনা মিছ ইণ্ডিয়াত অংশগ্ৰহণ কৰিছিল আৰু চূড়ান্ত প্ৰতিযোগীসকলৰ ভিতৰত অন্যতম আছিল।[9] ২০১৪ চনত দত্তই ৰোমাণ্টিক কমেডী লেকৰ হম দীৱানা দিলৰ জৰিয়তে অভিনয়ত আত্মপ্ৰকাশ কৰে। সুদীপ সাহিৰৰ বিপৰীতে তেওঁ এগৰাকী স্মাৰ্ট ছোৱালীৰ চৰিত্ৰত অভিনয় কৰিছিল।[10] [11]
