Team and credits
ProveIt is being developed by a team of Wikipedians at Georgia Tech, including Kurt Luther (MaxVeers), Matthew Flaschen (Superm401), Terris Johnson, and Amy Bruckman. However, it's a free and open source software project, so other interested folks are invited to contribute. One way to start is to create a clone of Proveit, which doesn't require any permission. You can then file an issue, or comment on our talk page, when you have changes you'd like merged in to the main version.
As well as the core team, and others providing assistance, ProveIt depends on the following code and resources:
- Translators
- Olli (Finnish)
- MediaWiki, including wikibits.js.
- Wikipedia version of jQuery, which must already be loaded.
- Icons from the Silk icon set, by Mark James, used under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License.
- jQuery UI, loaded via Google Libraries API.
- Public domain code from QuirksMode, by Peter-Paul Koch, particularly a modified version of his findPos function.
- textSelection API from Usability Initiative's plugins.combined.js.
- Cross-browser split, by Steven Levithan, used under the MIT license.
