ৰুথ ভানিতা (Ruth Vanita) ভাৰতীয় একাডেমিক, সক্ৰিয় কৰ্মী আৰু লেখিকা। তেওঁ ব্ৰিটিছ আৰু ভাৰতীয় সাহিত্যৰ ইতিহাস বিশেষভাৱে লিংগ আৰু যৌনতা অধ্যয়নৰ প্ৰেক্ষাপটত অধ্যয়ন কৰে।[1] লগতে, তেওঁ হিন্দু দৰ্শন বিষয়তো পঢ়ায় আৰু লিখে।

[সম্পাদনা কৰক]১৯৯৪ চনৰ পৰা ১৯৯৭ চনলৈ তেওঁ দিল্লী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ ইংৰাজী বিভাগত ৰিডাৰ হিচাপে কাৰ্যনিৰ্বাহ কৰে।[1] বৰ্তমান, তেওঁ মণ্টানা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ ইংৰাজী আৰু বিশ্ব সংস্কৃতি বিভাগৰ অধ্যাপিকা, লগতে দক্ষিণ আৰু দক্ষিণ-পূব এছিয়ান অধ্যয়ন কাৰ্যসূচীৰ পৰিচালক।[3]
১৯৭৮ চনত দিল্লীত থকা অৱস্থাত, ভানিতাই "মানুষী: এ জাৰ্নেল এবাউট উইমেন এণ্ড ছ’চাইটি" নামৰ এখন আলোচনী সহ-প্ৰতিষ্ঠা কৰে। এই আলোচনী শিক্ষা-গৱেষণা আৰু সামাজিক সক্ৰিয়তাবাদৰ সমন্বয় সাধন কৰিছিল। ১৯৭৯ চনৰ পৰা ১৯৯১ চনলৈ তেওঁ স্বেচ্ছাসেৱী সহ-সম্পাদক হিচাপে কাম কৰিছিল।[1]
