জোচেফ বিজয় চন্দ্ৰশেখৰৰ জন্ম ১৯৭৪ চনৰ ২২ জুনত তামিলনাডুৰ মাদ্ৰাজত হৈছিল।[3][4] তেওঁৰ পিতৃ এছ. এ. চন্দ্ৰশেখৰন এজন চলচ্চিত্ৰ পৰিচালক আৰু মাতৃ শোভা চন্দ্ৰশেখৰ এগৰাকী নেপথ্য কণ্ঠশিল্পী।[5] তেওঁৰ পিতৃ এজন কেথলিক খ্ৰীষ্টান আছিল আৰু মাতৃ এগৰাকী হিন্দু ধৰ্মাৱলম্বী।[6][7] বিজয়ৰ বিদ্যা নামৰ এগৰাকী ভগ্নী আছিল, যাৰ মাত্ৰ দুবছৰ বয়সতে মৃত্যু হৈছিল।[8] বিজয়ে প্ৰাথমিক শিক্ষা কডাম্বাক্কামৰ ফাতিমা স্কুলত আৰু পৰৱৰ্তী সময়ত বিৰুগাম্বাক্কামৰ বাললোক স্কুলত লাভ কৰিছিল।[9][10] তেওঁ লয়লা কলেজৰ পৰা দৃশ্যমান যোগাযোগ (Visual Communication) বিষয়ত স্নাতক ডিগ্ৰীৰ বাবে অধ্যয়ন কৰিছিল, কিন্তু অভিনয় জীৱনত মনোনিবেশ কৰিবলৈ তেওঁ আধাতে কলেজ ত্যাগ কৰে।[11][12][13]

বিজয়ে ১৯৯৯ চনৰ ২৫ আগষ্টত শ্ৰীলংকাত জন্মগ্ৰহণ কৰা ব্ৰিটিছ তামিল মূলৰ এক আঢ্যৱন্ত ব্যৱসায়ী পৰিয়ালৰ কন্যা সংগীতা সোৰ্ণালিংগমৰ সৈতে বিবাহপাশত আৱদ্ধ হয়।[14][15] কালামেল্লাম কাথিৰুপ্পেন (১৯৯৭) ছবিৰ শ্বুটিঙৰ সময়ত সংগীতাই বিজয়ক এজন অনুৰাগী হিচাপে লগ পাইছিল আৰু পৰৱৰ্তী সময়ত দুই পৰিয়ালৰ সন্মতিমৰ্মে তেওঁলোকৰ বিবাহ সম্পন্ন হয়। তেওঁলোকৰ দুটি সন্তান আছে: এজন পুত্ৰ (জেছন সঞ্জয়) আৰু এগৰাকী কন্যা (দিব্য ছাশা)।[16][17] জেছন সঞ্জয় এজন নৱাগত চলচ্চিত্ৰ পৰিচালক যিয়ে চিগমা ছবিৰ জৰিয়তে পৰিচালক হিচাপে আত্মপ্ৰকাশ কৰিব আৰু ইয়াৰ পূৰ্বে তেওঁ পিতৃৰ সৈতে ভেট্টাইক্কাৰন ছবিত অভিনয় কৰিছিল; আনহাতে দিব্য ছাশায়ো পিতৃৰ সৈতে থেৰী ছবিত অভিনয় কৰিছিল।[18][17]
