১৮২০ চনত উইলিয়াম ৰক্সবাৰ্গে Aerides multiflora ৰ বৰ্ণনা প্ৰকাশ কৰে। ১৮৮২ চনত জোআও বাৰ্বোছা ৰড্ৰিগেছে Epidendrum geniculatum নামেৰে এবিধ ভিন্ন উদ্ভিদৰ বৰ্ণনা প্ৰকাশ কৰে। ইয়াৰ আঠ বছৰৰ পাছত ১৮৯০ চনত জোচেফ ডালটন হুকাৰে বৰ্তমান Aerides multiflora Roxb. নামেৰে স্বীকৃতি পোৱা অৰ্কিডৰ বৰ্ণনা প্ৰকাশ কৰে। তেওঁ ইয়াৰ নাম ৰাখে Epidendrum geniculatum।
