বনিয়া এটা ভাৰতীয় জাতি। বনিয়াসকল সাধাৰণতে ব্যৱসায় বাণিজ্যৰ লগত জড়িত। বনিয়াসকল সাধাৰণতে বেংক, টকা-পইচা ঋণ দিয়া, শস্য বা মচলা বিক্ৰেতা, আৰু আধুনিক যুগত বিভিন্ন বাণিজ্যিক উদ্যোগৰ লগত জড়িত।[2]
